AbyrAnna's research interests are broadly centered on activism, race, and social movements within the realm of sports. Her current work is focused on understanding the nuanced perceptions and impacts of athletic activism on sports fans of varying racial backgrounds, particularly contrasting reactions between Black and White students. She is also interested in exploring how athletic activism serves as an empowering force for Black people, while simultaneously being a point of contention for White people, aiming to contribute to academic discourse, policy, and social justice initiatives in sports.
