Nathanael Joseph

My overarching research interests lie in the study of the social practice and organization of revolutionary movements, particularly in the Global South. I am particularly interested in the production of theoretical knowledge that results from revolutionary activity, and in the internationalist collaboration of these movements as they have sought to advance transformative change on a global scale. I am currently working on my master’s thesis, which is focused on the Economic Freedom Fighters political party in South Africa. I am attempting to understand how and to what extent its movement practices helped to induce the resignation of former South African President Jacob Zuma.
