Yeneca Lee

Yeneca’s research interests include feminist movements in East Asia, transnational movement building, activism in closing civic spaces, and countermovements. These interests stem from her experiences working in the non-profit sector, most recently as a grantmaker supporting human rights advocacy and movement building in East Asian civil societies. She is currently studying the South Korean feminist movement and countermovement, in the context of collective identity building in digital spaces, philanthropic practices, and organizational practices.
