I am interested in studying social movements in the context of a totalitarian state. I am interested in learning social movements' interactions with the forms of the contemporary state's despotism. I am also interested in knowing how modern Arab societies formed after the Ottoman Empire's end and how the new states rebuilt a new social identity.
