Sociology graduate student Kanoko Kamata applied for, and obtained, a prestigious award from the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program. This involves tuition, health insurance, living expenses for two years. This scholarships are open to a limited number of Japanese mid-career professionals who are dedicated to the alleviation of poverty and enhanced shared prosperity in developing countries.
