Distinguished University Professor John Markoff won the Distinguished Career Award of the Political Sociology Section of the American Sociological Association. This award is in recognition of John's influential contributions to our understanding of how political life may be understood in light of empirically rich and theoretically discerning historical and comparative analysis.
